Yes. All Howeriwggo Honey is raw. Additionally, their honey is not irradiated, not heated, not filtered, and contains no additives or preservatives.

Where does Hoerikwaggo Honey come from?

Hoerikwaggo Honey is cultivated from the footsteps of Table Mountain and other regions of the Western Cape in South Africa. It is truly local, South African honey.

Unlike some other honey brands in South Africa, Hoerikwaggo Honey does use or import honey from overseas.

Is Hoerikwaggo Honey certified as Badger Friendly?

No. As of 2020, Hoerikwaggo honey is not certified as Badger Friendly by the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT). This means their beehives and apiaries are not formally certified and regulated by the EWT for adopting badger friendly bee-keeping practices.

Via the normal in-store and and online retail channels, Hoerikwaggo Honey is not available in bulk quantities. Bulk honey in South Africa is typically packaged per 25kg bucket. The most you can get from Hoerikwaggo is packaged in 1kg glass jars.
